To make this embroidery I was inspired by the patterns and effects of Boulle marquetry work. The bottom of the embroidery represents the marquetry effects, slowly melting with embroidery effects and materials while going up. 
 
It is made up of dyed fabric embroidered with fabric applications (stumpwork), cannetille thread, glass beads and cotton and silk threads.
